Highlights from the 2024-2025 school year!
As you saw in our year in review, 2024-2025 was an eventful year! We We saw unprecedented growth in support of clubs, inclusivity, student spaces and wellness initiatives, creating more ways for students to thrive than ever before. To celebrate this, we publish monthly recaps to keep our community updated on all the amazing work the SSU and your student leaders are doing to enhance the student experience at Sheridan College. May 2024
May was all about sunshine, good food, and great connections! We attended a Student Care Conference, supported a case study competition, and soaked up the warm weather with outdoor fun! 🌼
July 2024
This summer was all about new spaces and fresh starts! Renovations inside The Marquee began, and we launched the awesome Adopt-a-Club program! 🎉
September 2024
We kicked off the school year, with a Cyber-Punk themed Welcome Week and continued building community. 🧡
June 2024
June called for big wins in the student success department! We celebrated Pride month, funded travel for a few student Game Design competitors and proudly joined the CASA community! ✈️
August 2024
August was all about celebrating our new hires at SU 101! We geared up for an amazing year ahead and build amazing connections! 🌟
October 2024
We celebrated Cycle Celebration Week, joined Ontario Student Voices, and warmed hearts (and hands) with free soup! 🍜
November 2024
In November, we reintroduced the Volunteer Program, celebrated diversity, and helped our students kick off their mornings with some free breakfast! 🥐
December 2024
December was filled with gratitude all around! While the exam season came to an end, we ended the year with hear by donating to Giving Tuesday to keeping our service to our community top of mind. 🎁
January 2025
We kicked off 2025 with a Mental Wellness Month, welcomed a new praticum role, and even hosted great on and off-campus events.
February 2025
This month, we rang in Lunar New Year, honoured Black History Month, and sparked a little creativity in our new Creative Corner pop-ups! ✨
March 2025
March was all about celebrating our new space on campus, helping students stay in the loop on financial wellness, learning more about how OSV can support our students!
April 2025
From EDI Trainings to welcoming our new Board, April brought new beginnings, vibrant new spaces to enjoy!
